The FIAT® 500e is equipped with an 11-kilowatt AC/DC onboard charger and a Combined Charging System Type 1 socket for home and public charging. For at-home charging with a Free2move Charge Level 2 Charger, our partners at Qmerit make available installation easy and efficient. Or you can choose the Free2move Charge Go package with charging credits for public charging stations across the country.

LEVEL 2

Residential charging can be supported by a Level 2 charging wall unit. Level 2 is the recommended solution for at-home charging. It provides AC charging with an up to 48-amp current through a 240-volt socket (or hardwired), thus enabling a maximum charging rate of 11.5 kilowatts.

Included with your FIAT® 500e, you can choose either the Free2move Charge Home or Go package. The Home Package includes a 40-amp Level 2 charger (up to 9.6 kilowatts). This Level 2 charger provides up to 30 miles of range per hour of charging. The wall unit must be professionally installed for an additional cost.

DC FAST CHARGING

Public charging is available through DC fast charging at up to 400 volts for a maximum rate of 85 kilowatts. DC fast charging is enabled by the presence of the Combined Charging System Type 1 smart plug on board the vehicle. Using a Public charging station DC fast charger will enable you to charge your FIAT® 500e to an 80% state of charge in about 35 minutes.

If you already have a Level 2 charging station or don’t need one at home, you can choose the Free2move Charge Go package with $600 charging credits for public charging stations across the country.

High-Voltage (85KW) DC fast-charging public stations can deliver a full charge in about an hour. Depending on the killowatts of the station, it can charge the car from 0-80% in about 35 minutes.
