FAQ

FIAT® Topolino

The FIAT® Topolino is 99.6 inches long, 56.4 inches wide, and 61.2 inches high.

The curb weight of the FIAT® Topolino—meaning the weight of the Topolino with full fluids, but with no passengers inside—is 1,073 pounds. The maximum combined weight rating, which includes passengers and cargo, is 1,570 pounds. The vehicle is designed to fit two—the driver and one passenger.

The FIAT® Topolino is by definition a vehicle in that it moves and can transport people and goods. But the Topolino wouldn’t classify as a car—rather, it’s a compact, low-speed, on-road vehicle. That’s why the Topolino is a champion of micromobility, which reimagines how we get around by uniting different locations across small distances.

The FIAT® Topolino is currently only available in one color, our Verde Vita Mint. However, there are two versions available to choose from: Topolino, our all-weather trim that features doors and a glass sunroof; or the Topolino Dolce Vita, which adds a dose of exciting open-air freedom with its door ropes and rollable soft-top opening.

On a fully-charged battery, the FIAT® Topolino has a total driving range of 46 miles, with a top speed of 19 mph and when equipped with Street Legal Kit you can reach a top speed of up to 25 mph. .

The battery of the FIAT® Topolino can reach 100% in just about 4 hours with the onboard charger using a 120-volt American outlet .

The FIAT® Topolino cannot be driven on highways or major roads. When properly equipped, on most roads with a speed limit of 35 mph or less—in a public park, beach town, downtown area, resort or gated community—the Topolino is a speedy, joyful micromobility solution.

The FIAT® Topolino is best suited for country clubs, resorts, music and film festivals, yacht clubs, downtown areas and beach towns. Without the Street Legal Conversion Kit, the Topolino is great for private and gated communities or anywhere golf carts are commonly driven for leisure. When properly equipped with the conversion kit, the FIAT Topolino is best suited for environments with posted speed limits of up to 35 mph.

When properly equipped with the Street Legal Conversion Kit, the FIAT® Topolino has an estimated top speed of 25 mph. Without the conversion kit, the Topolino cruises at a top speed of 19 mph.

A low-speed vehicle or 'LSV' is a street-legal, four-wheeled vehicle. An LSV has a gross vehicle weight rating of less than 3,000 pounds and top speed of 25 mph. They’re usually all-electric vehicles and are held to federal performance and safety standards.

In most US states, you’re allowed to drive a low-speed vehicle on roads with a marked speed limit of 35 mph or less. Though an LSV may look like a golf cart, its level of performance, mobility and automotive engineering makes it an official on-road vehicle.

First and foremost, low-speed vehicles are required to adhere to the performance and safety standards set by the NHTSA (National Highway Traffic and Safety Association). These standards dictate that an LSV cannot exceed 25 mph (40 km/h) and has to have the following:

• Vehicle-Appropriate Mirrors, Including an Interior Driver's Rearview Mirror, an Exterior Mirror on the Driver’s Side and an Exterior Mirror on the Passenger’s Side (Also Called Sideview Mirror)
• A Parking Brake
• A Conforming Windshield (Meaning it Meets All Federal Safety Standards)
• Headlamps
• Front and Rear Turn Signals
• Taillamps
• Red Reflex Reflectors
• An Audible Alert Mechanism (Like a Horn)
• A Type 1 or Type 2 Seat Belt Assembly
• A Rear Back Up Camera
• A Vehicle Identification Number (Commonly Called a VIN)

Thanks to their estimated top speed of 25 mph, low-speed vehicles are street legal and can be driven on most US roadways posted 35 mph or less—which makes up a large amount of the roads in the United States!

While an LSV can’t be driven on the highway, they’re perfect for cities and contained communities thanks to their size and efficiency.
