The FIAT® 500X debuted in 2014 and went into production that year. The first model year in the US was 2016.

The FIAT® 500X is manufactured at the Società Automobilistica Tecnologie Avanzate S.p.A. (SATA) plant in Melfi, Italy.

PERFORMANCE

For turbocharged engines including the 1.3L MultiAir® engine in the FIAT® 500X, the manufacturer recommends synthetic engine oils that are API Certified and meet the requirements of FCA US LLC Material Standard MS-13340. Yes. A FIAT® 500X can tow up to 2,000 pounds. Yes. The FIAT® 500X offers standard all-wheel drive, which is known to perform better in winter conditions like snow and ice than vehicles that rely on front-wheel drive or rear-wheel drive alone.

EXTERIOR

The FIAT® 500X has a base curb weight of 3,305 pounds, an exterior body width of 73.2 inches (with mirrors folded) or 79.7 inches (with mirrors out), an exterior body height of 63.7 inches, and a 101.2-inch wheelbase.

The FIAT® 500X Pop and Sport have an exterior length of 167.2 inches.

FEATURES

First, remove the emergency key by sliding the emergency key release on the back of the key fob and pull the emergency key out with your other hand. Next, separate the key fob halves using a #2 flat blade screwdriver or a coin, and gently pry the two halves of the key fob apart. Make sure not to damage the seal during removal. Then, remove the back cover to access and replace the battery. When replacing the battery, match the + sign on the battery to the - sign on the inside of the battery clip, located on the back cover. Caution: Avoid touching the new battery with your fingers. Skin oils may cause battery deterioration. If you touch a battery, clean it with rubbing alcohol. Finally, to assemble the key fob case, snap the two halves together. PLEASE NOTE: The recommended replacement battery is one CR2032 battery. Customers are recommended to use a battery obtained from Mopar. Aftermarket coin battery dimensions may not meet the original OEM coin battery dimensions.
